    lifer !! ring tailed hen harrier

    usually only see these at long long range ,so well pleased to get this one in reasonably close today thanks to storm Brian ,it was that windy I couldn't even use my tripod so a hand held shot to

                    Hen harriers are increasingly rare these days so it's quite good to get a picture of a female/immature.

                      cheers Brian and ant .normally I only see them hunting along the sea edge of the marsh about 2 miles + out ,so very pleased to get these shots ,and if I had stayed a few minutes longer it would have been a hundred yards away ,but had just decided to call it a day got back to the car munching a sarnie when a member of public came up and said is that a owl down there ,never moved so fast in my life
