    St Albans

As a rare visitor, I thought I would pop in, look around and leave a couple of images for your comments... I am still on that photo artistry kick, so watch out:

Blue Hour by Richard Anderson, on Flickr

Dying Embers of Market Day by Richard Anderson, on Flickr

Bridge over the River Ver by Richard Anderson, on Flickr

Thoughts, comments and observations very welcome.

Like the first two, even though you have put your enjoyable artistic traits on them, I can still recognise that road from my youth.

Not keen on 1 and 2 (just my personal taste), but 3 is very Turner-esque

Keep 'em coming, Richard, always loving your creativity and skill. I like them all but my favourite is #3 which has a feel of Monet for me. The first two grab you straight away, I suppose my only issue with #3 is that if the image wasn't by you and on here I would probably have moved on before spotting the bridge. Now I see it I love it but it's risky.

Welcome back Richard, we've missed you

A great set to return with too The first I need to think about as the double exposure effect is a bit strange being so pronounced but the second and third are stunning and I'd happily hang them on my walls.

                      Cheers,
                      John

Thank you Colin and everyone else who expressed this view. I really do appreciate it. I hope we can see a lot more "photo-artistry" on this forum as well so that I don't feel such an odd-man-out!!!

Occasionally I try to be a bit more subtle!!! And I like taking the odd risk. So I take all of that as a great compliment! Thank you Alex. I'll take the Turner comparison as well, but I suspect Monet is more appropriate for No 3... My aim is to make things different to reality, but just recognisable enough (usually) to make them interesting to look at!
