    Hi,

    well wen out today to get some autumn colour shots and late sun - Didn't really get anything I liked! but looking through I liked these two shots in black and white.

    agree 2nd is the best even with a bird in it LOL

    #1 is pretty good, but another vote for #2 for me... Can't make up my mind on the bird; could have been better positioned, but, on balance, I think it's best left in. I would just tidy up the sides to clone out the stray twigs etc... Nice...

    Autumn is a time for colour so for me the title does not really fit but as an abstract image the second works

    Thanks for the comments all. One of those days where you go out with good intentions, good light and plenty of autumn colour but just can't find the inspiration - so tried something else!!!!

    Well I think both are excellent...my immediate favourite is No 1 with good use of the positioning and flare of the sun....I like the second but maybe the vertical of the trees in a landscape frame doesn't compliment as a portrait frame perhaps might.

    Both work well for me. On a personal note I feel the foreground shadow in the 1st to be a bit heavy but otherwise...
