    The Palace

I've posted a few from outside this building so I thought was about time to show the building ....just stunning.

Needless to say it spent a lot of time in PS removing loads of stuff. I did wait around for a long time to try and get things in the right places to offer a good edit but each time one space cleared another came in. So I just had to make do and hope.

It certainly is Ian. You have done a great job removing objects you didn't want in there, I can't see when went from!
Do you use the technique of multiple images with people/vehicles moving through the frame and get PP to remove most of them automatically?

Cheers Andrew glad you liked it. No not multiple shots it was a case of waiting till people or cars moved into a place that offered a easy clone. Although in the end I had to make do

That certainly is an impressive building. Like the processing too!

Cheers Tony and thanks for commenting. I posted the image on a landscape group and most were asking to see what was removed so as I saved it as a small jpeg I'll attach it here untitled-692.jpg

That's really interesting Ian. I guess like me with landscape photography we might not be shooting as many frames as the bird guys but we will shoot a few and then not really know if they are really successful until the PP is done. It's what I really enjoy about digital photography. Here you've made a really excellent image from the original capture.

Super shot Ian. love the symmetry

I might have removed the tree as well to balance left and right completely

Nice work Ian....I wonder why they positioned those lamp posts asymmetrically in front of a symmetrical building....was it just to frustrate photographers in the future...

Fantastic, Ian, great shot! I really enjoy seeing the "before" shot as it gives me a some kind of pointer as to what can be done, given the skills (which I'm not sure I have!)

Even looking at the full size version on Flickr it's tricky to see that you've actually cloned things out, even knowing where they were on the original

thanks Chris. A few things did push me and was glad I set a layer up between each item that was removed as a few times I needed to revert back and delete the work. But got there in the end

An image that's it's easy to appreciate for the aesthetic beauty but seeing the sows ear you started with makes it all the more impressive

I think the tree balances the clouds so should stay.

                            Cheers,

cheers John glad you agreed on the tree :)

its funny but when I was processing this image the things that were doing my head in were the little blocks around the edge of the road and if you look at them long enough it does give an illusion of looking like the pavement is being held up by them kinda 3D LOL.... Maybe I just spent too long staring at this image in PS
