Lovely image Stan. Not sure whether your camera has a pop-up flash. It may have been useful to add a catch light in the eye.

Nice shot. There seem to be loads around this year but I've found them quite a "bit flighty" and difficult to get close. Then again, 600mm of reach always helps

          thanks guys

not sure it would have had much if any effect at 10 metres and of course at 1/320 it would not have synched. I could have taken a speedlite but its difficult enough to hand hold the Sigma sport and camera without adding to the weight with the speedlite

its always a problem as they dont stay put for more than a second or too. This one was 10 metres distant so involved a bit of a crop

You'll be surprised how effective the pop-up flash is for adding a catch light in the eye, even at 10 metres.

worth trying but still need a shutter of less than 1/250
