    Very nice with good composition and processing being a nice subject for mono Only comments are I'd probably have cloned out or cropped the pebbles in the bottom right corner and perhaps a bit more texture/contrast/clarity in the sky.

      Thanks John - I did some cloning to cover blown highlights - perhaps a bit more needed; I'll have a ponder.

        I agree about the bottom corner although to be honest just cropping it works as I tried that

                  Nicely done, although I've just gone back to have another look at the colour version and do prefer that.

                    Thanks Chris. Although it's been well received on Flickr I didn't post the colour version here simply because I struggled a bit more with the highlights and colours on that version.
