    Reindeers sunbathing

    Hi,

I found this quite amuzing when I saw these sunbathing (okay, it's was cloudy at the time...). Afterwards, I've seen them more often on spots like this. I have taken photos on the subject on two consecutive years, they seem to like that sandpit.

And they even go to beach:

These raindeers are easy to photograph, it is just to find the correct location...

    Your thoughts, comments please?

    Re: Reindeers sunbathing

    Hi Marko.

Love number 1. There is a tenderness between the two Reindeer and I also like the balance with the two pieces of vegetation. Whilst I can appreciate the need for the Hi Vis collars in number two from a practical point, they don't do much to enhance the shot. Number three is very interesting for me. I sub-consciously associate Reindeer with Christmas festivities and snow, so to see them in a beach (Lake) situation with forest as the background is a bit of an eye opener.

Thank you for posting ....... probably the first Reindeer on this Forum.

I also agree with the above comments , I would think if there anything like our red deer it migh5 be possible to slowly work round to get. Better point of view , anyway enough waffle ,where have you hidden Santa’s sleigh

I would imagine the sand retains what heat there is better than soil, hence the reason they like it.
