    Islay beach

It has been overcast, windy, wet or all three together over the past month or more, now there is snow on the ground and the car needs some work so making pictures has been on hold.

So as well as looking at the pictures here( always good for some inspiration) I looked at some pictures from the summer holiday on Islay and processed this one with a bit of a duller mood in keeping with how things are at present.

Taken on a walk on a largely overcast day in June, flat light but I liked the rocks and sand and the clouds.

Very nicely done. In fact, that's almost as nice as the glass of Laphroaig I've got sat next to me at the moment I really must get to Islay one day.

Me too but it would be to get to the Bowmore distillery.

Moody landscape. Looks like thunder and lighting are lurking. [emoji106]

                    Re: Islay beach

                    Thanks for your encouraging comments.

The beach was at Kintra (just south of the airport) we managed to get back to the car before the rain came down.

There are plenty of nice beaches and villages on Islay and the natives are very friendly, practically every driver that passed us gave a wave.

I think we went at a good time, early June, before the big summer rush so it wasn't overly busy with tourists, even so the Saturday ferries were full. We booked in January to be sure of dates and ferry times we needed.

                    I'd go back again.
