    Yippee!!!

No great shakes as a photo - but great rejoicing in the Liddle household - first of this year's batches of cider bottled - and just in time for Christmas!.

Ian, Colin, Tom, John & Trev - thanks for looking chaps and for your positive views on the cider. This batch is a departure for me since it is the first year that my Backwell Red tree has produced enough fruit to allow me to make a brew using only cider apple varieties (I usually have to use some cookers and eaters to try and get the right balance).

North Somerset, the only place for real cider, makes me home sick, I would be out at Winscombe getting my Christmas supply in. Having the photo just makes it worse.

Ahhh Grolsh bottles, used to have a crate of the stuff under my bed in Germany, it was the standard thing, you used to exchange crates empty for full... I hope the cider is equally good too :) enjoy.

I'm sorry if I have made you pine for the delights of North Somerset - if you are back in this neck of the woods, let me know and a sample might be arranged!
