    Photography Frogs

In a previous thread "Squidgy Meat Pies", I mentioned that one of the frogs jumped and landed on my macro lens. Not to be outdone, the other frog did the same.

Obviously, I had no record of this, as my lens was looking at an empty set where there were previously frogs. However, I contacted a couple of the other photographers and one of them captured the event and I am pleased to show the results here.

They make my old (non IS) macro lens look positively huge.

Thanks Tom, but my only contribution was to be there. Once the frogs jumped onto my lens, I couldn't even take a photo ........... I was in the hands of others. Never the less, an interesting event and a good indication that the frogs weren't under any stress.

It's a well known fact that frogs like to jump on to Canon lenses - though it's equally well known that they will always jump away from a Nikon lens.

Same thing happened to me some time ago. Was with a group trying to photograph a barn owl flying between two kneeling models, but when it was released, it flew straight to me and landed on my telephoto lens. Obviously I couldn't get the shot but someone else did, so it's now my Flickr/facebook avatar.

I bow to your knowledge and wisdom Miles.

There was a Nikon user present and the Frogs backed away from him. Also, when I contacted the other togs for a photo of the Frogs on my lens, his shots didn't come out.

                Frogs know stuff!
