Default Bluetooth remote, should I disconnect it when not in use?

Trying out the Canon Remote BR-E1 that Father Christmas brought me.

First of all I couldn’t find any instructions in the box apart from a comprehensive list in many languages telling me how to take care of the batteries etc!

Second: couldn’t find instructions in the Wi-Fi booklet. Much later, only realised that was only for Wi-Fi, not Bluetooth!

Third: hooray for YouTube. A 1 minute video explained you had to connect by pressing 2 buttons simultaneously!

I have been playing quite happily, but was wondering if I should disconnect when not using it, particularly to save the battery. Also I can use it on more than one camera I own, so thinking I should?

Thanks Robert. I’ve been too busy with Christmas to read it.There is nothing worth watching on TV at the moment, so guess what I am going to do!
