    Cragside Window.

Another 2014 image never processed until today! I'm beginning to wonder if I will ever process all of the raw files that reside on my hard drives.

I really don't know why I overlooked this one as I think it has some merit. But I would be interested in your thoughts, does it have merit or should I have continued to ignore it?

Oh, I think it definitely has merit and I especially like the reflections on the stone sill.

The main issue for me on initial viewing is the non-uniform background outside the window which makes it tricky to see the patterns on some of the rows of panes. I'm not sure how easy it would be to change that, though!

Certainly works for me Peter. As said above the reflection on the stone is a great addition.

            Re: Cragside Window.

Cragside is Victorian so the design lacks the beauty of medieval cathedral stained glass which means that I'm not too bothered about the foliage outside distracting from it, in fact, I think it actually enhances the image.

All in all a top piece of photography and a real demonstration of how it should be done 'Masterglass'? No? OK I'll get me coat

            Cheers,

I was scrolling down the image and thinking, yup it definitely has merit. And then I got to the window sill and that takes it to a whole new level. Excellent, and the garden beyond doesn't bother me at all, it places it in context.

                  Re: Cragside Window.

Thanks everyone for taking the time to look and comment. Looking back at my other images from the day, it seems I liked making images of the windows in Cragside. I have processed another two different window images. But I think this one is the best of the bunch. Thanks again gentlemen [emoji106]

As others have said, I think the light on the sill makes it. You could use just the bottom two rows of glass and the light on the sill, as a shot on it's own.
