    Starling Murmeration

Fortunate to have a large starling roost within a 30 min drive from home and upwards of an estimated 30,000 birds put on a spectacular show each afternoon/ early evening as they arrive at the reedbed to roost. I have picked these three out as interesting shapes the birds produced the first reminding me of a ladies leg with a heeled shoe on , the second a large ducks head taking a drink and the third I described as a snake in the sky. The duck and snake were both " explored " on Flickr which was pleasing.

Excellent shots. Never seen it myself, which I suppose is something I ought to address!
