A previously unprocessed shot from our last visit to Studly butterflies during the summer. At these places it is always difficult to avoid distracting backgrounds, this one shot handheld with my 100 f2.8 LIS and ring flash and with very little post processing

Looks like I'll probably be back at Wisley at the weekend (although with family in tow so will probably be a bit more rushed!) and will have another go at the butterflies. I've just looked at Wex and ring flashes appear to be a bit out of budget at the moment

I have the canon MR14 which although I bought used from MBP was still expensive. Yongnuo do one which in all respects looks similar and does the same job but for a fraction of the price. It wasnt available when I bought mine but if i were looking for one now, I would have no hesitation
