        Thanks Ian and Brian.

It is of course a model, although I did own the real thing for 10 years until I traded it 5 years ago for an MG TF - more comfortable, a heater and power steering but not so exciting to drive

Thanks for the inspiration Stan. I shall remember this for a rainy day. Providing number 1 Son allows me access to the toy boxes

81 images, wow! I've never tried a focus stack but I never thought that number of images would be required! Did you need to use any "special" equipment, or was that just with camera, tripod and a shed-load of patience?

10 to 20 is probably usually sufficient but the model is quite big, using a macro lens with its narrow depth of field, I wanted to make sure that every bit of the car was in focus.

No special equipment, just making sure the camera was locked off on the tripod and then using live view, took the first shot with the focus on the left corner of the image and then rather like doing a pano, moved the focus point along the horizontal in small steps until I reached the extreme right then moved the focus point up slightly and went back to the left and so on until all the image was covered

Interesting shot Stan, never tried anything like that. I too had one like that, sold it when SWMBO decreed she wanted a Motorhome, now have an MGB GT, which even though has a Webasto sunroof it isn't as much fun to drive as the Roadster was
