    The Red-Tail

    Pushing some BW processing and I know Stan doesn't like BW for wildlife, but as a BW fan, I processed this image:

        I see the idea but I think firstly there's a lack of clear detail, though that may because it's to small to render the detail adequately, and secondly the white areas are looking a bit grey and need to be brighter and whiter.

        I also think that the 3:2 format isn't working. While there's space for the bird to theoretically move into lack total absence of background detail means there's nothing for the eye to spatially relate to leading to no sense of where it is nor where it's going. For me I think this would work much better in a square format with plently of space around it. Something like this overall...
