That works well despite the empty foreground - must be the patterns created by the paving that lifts it.

Would I be right that you had any form of perspective adjustment turned off when you stitched it? I've had the odd attempt at a pano with my 10-20mm Sigma and the software always tries to correct it leading to some very odd results...

I liked the empty forground as I wanted to play with the curve I knew would happen with this effect. Yes no perspective correction on, just verticals adjusted afterwards. It also was an HDR shot so 3 brackets on each as well :)

Lovely composition, like how you positioned the shot so that it leads the eye right to the building

Really like the effect you got, Ian, the foreground works well for me as the curves mirror the clouds. I'm going to suggest a teeny anti clockwise rotation, though I guess that will mess up your central verticals. Oh this stuff ain't easy getting it all perfect...

Thanks Alex I did try that but as you said it pulled other things out so didn't bother

Super shot, very effective with the building symmetry and the paving patterns

Needs a slight anti-clockwise twist and the clocks are telling different times but it's still a very well crafted image

                      Cheers,

Very unusual concept but it works well.
