    Wild Red Rooster

Apparently someone dumped 5 unwanted roosters at Fowlmere and the remaining two have been living wild on the reserve ever since. It made us laugh, as hubby isn't that good at identifying birds and always tell other people in hides that he recognizes robins and chickens. Imagine his surprise when we rounded the corner and spotted this handsome bird. LOL.

Beautiful colours, you have managed to capture them well - tricky to get unless the light is just right, bravo!

Thanks David. Yes, he really lit up when the light was on his feathers.

That first one is a beaut. Gorgeous colours and good composition.

I used to use rooster neck and saddle feathers for Fly Tying. His gorgeous feathers would tempt many a trout, or salmon.

Colin, Live in the wilds of Scotland you have to fly fish & nothing better than catching on your own flies.
