    Nottingham Light Night 2018

Away from all the crowds at Nottingham Light Night - a bitterly cold night on Nottingham's "Waterfront" - the Trent & Mersey Canal.

Nice! Good composition of an interesting and well lit scene

Only comment I'd make is that I feel the bit of rail in the lower left intrudes so could it have been composed to exclude that? Perhaps leaning over the rail a little or moving slightly to the left?

          Cheers,
          John

Thanks everyone for the encouraging comments.

John - I take your point but the shot was taken from a bridge and leaning out wasn’t an option with a tripod. I tried cropping the rail out but it made the bottom of the picture flat and uninteresting. I do like strong foreground corners in my compositions.

Ian - I plan to do a few black and white images & will post something soon.
