Re: Canon 100-400L mk i) problem
You would not be disappointed with the Sigma 100 - 400C, it's an excellent lens in my experience. Independent tests (the only information I trust) also show it to be much better than the 100 - 400L Mk 1 and as good as, or better than, the 100 - 400L MkII, except at the edge of the frame on full frame bodies where it is very slightly worse, though not as much as you would notice in real life situations. Wex price is £699, while the L MkII is £1,949. No contest in my opinion. There are still people who insist that "L" lenses must be the best, just because they are "L" lenses, but it's not always the case.
Used prices can be crazy, one can often buy a brand new body or lens on the grey market for less than a used one. In any case, newer models of lenses tend to be much better than the older ones and are rarely available used.
