    No fun

I had a hip replacement just a week ago and of course the weather has improved and I can’t get out take any photographs, not that I’ve done much in last six months due to pain whilst walking. No fun getting old is it. Hopefully by June I’ll be able to take some.

NO fun getting old is it?

Actually it’s OK, considering the alternatives!

Success rate on THR is about 99% and the results come sooner than most other replacements.

You’ll be fine, Sue. In the meantime take pictures of the nurses, they’ll love you forever and you’ll get extra ice cream. !

Well a lot of the pain from hip has gone, but you are sent out of hospital within a couple of days! Care is in the home now but not able to carry things around due to crutches.

Sorry to hear that you are restricted but I'm sure you'll soon be out there again....see it as an opportunity to experiment with new angles....macro with off camera flash for instance?

It sounds as though you are on the mend Sue - just make sure that you follow all the exercises they give you (if they haven't given you any, go back and insist on some) - the more you do the correct physiotherapy, the better the long term result.

Yep, already started the exercises and been given strict instructions about what & what not to do.

All these excuses Sue I’m sure you could manage to put the strap over your neck & take some interesting shots of your toes, or are you still in those revolting white stocking things they put you in.keep doing as you are told & you will soon be on the mend.

A good reason me thinks for setting up a mini studio at home and doing some table top photography.

Best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Sue hope all is going well and you are soon out and about with that camera. Whenever I'm not able to get out I always amuse myself with going through all my pictures and having a good clear out, wondering why I kept them in the first place.

Trev, looked through some of mine , only doing about 15 mins at a time cos concentration is too good at more but am now feeling quite a bit better. Strength still seems to disappear quite quickly but it’s all slowly improving.

Thank you for all the kind comments & suggestions, much appreciated.
