    Banded Mongoose

Going through some older files and came across this taken a couple of years ago in one of the hides at Zimanga in Kwa Zulu Natal, South Africa. There had been a long period of inactivity then suddenly these banded mongoose arrived and drank for about 30 seconds and were gone!

EOS 1DX with 300mm f/2.8L IS II lens and 1.4 III converter, tripod mounted.

Cute, nice low angle, good reflection and an appropriate background.

That's quite a lot of boxes ticked Brian.

Lovely composition and great timing to capture the two on the left mirroring each other's lapping.

Thanks for the kind comments. As for a lost eye, it's just the camera angle and as for timing; 10 frames a second always helps
