Well I've used this lens over the weekend and my first feeling was ...what a super focal length....with reassuringly standard 50mm like field of view.
As reviews have stated there is vignetting wide open but LR takes care of that with its lens profile ticked.
Shallow DoF requires more consideration of background to subject distance when using for macro due to the short focal length...and when achieved the background is nicely blurred - not harsh or too contrasty but not buttery smooth like the 100L Macro.
