    The Craven Lime kiln

Inside the Craven Lime kiln by Carol Leather, on Flickr

Craven Lime Kiln by Carol Leather, on Flickr

The remains on an old lime kiln were found by following a narrow unsignposted lane under a railway bridge near to the cottage we stayed in. It was dark in there!

What a wonderful place. You could just wander in? Great images, love the light coming in all the way along, worth looking at in Flickr. Just a straight image or did you try any HDR? That said, I think you need the distinction between blacks and whites so perhaps HDR isn't appropriate.

Thank you. Yes, we could wonder in at our leisure. No parking fees. :)

A straight image, Alex. I did basic processing in Lightroom. Never tried HDR to be honest.

Lovely Carol, an interesting and unusual subject, well taken.

You seem to have missed a few dust bunnies on the second one, upper right hand side in the clouds - easily sorted in Lightroom. They show up more strongly in Flickr, as I only noticed one here.
