Default Male Adder, wild and free

Seen and photographed adders many times at the British Wildlife Centre but today was the first time I have had the opportunity to capture one in the wild and clear of obstruction. Blashford Lakes this morning

Great shot Stan - lucky you to get one out in the open like that. I've seen numerous ones over the past few weeks both up in my Scrub Area and out on the Heath, but always half hidden by vegetation. Chances are it will be in the same place tomorrow, they have their favourite sun spots!

Nice shot Stan. I managed to get my first 'wild' adder shot a couple of weeks ago in Cornwall.
