    Garden Jewels

Rather a dreich day at home today. But there's usually something in the garden to brighten a photographers day. As always I welcome your thoughts and comments on the series.

#1 A trio of Aquilegia plucked from their respective plants held in my left hand with the camera lens resting on my left arm to steady the ship It wasn't that easy to do either

#2 I doubt this poppy will survive very long with the very fine but extremely wet rain we're having to put up with!

#3 A colourful and wet Aeonium (House Leek) which I cropped but I'm not sure if the crop is tight enough.

#4 A jewel in a hanging basket, using the drab grey sky as the background.

That's a really nice set. I often try to get shots of flowers in a similar vein but they never really work out how I envisage them to be, i.e. like yours!

Echo the sentiments above, a very good set of pictures but the first one is the pick of the bunch.
