                    I recall that you used to use your 300mm for macro; is this still the case?
                    I use both the 300 and 100 L IS for macro but for dragonflies and butterflies it is still mostly the 300 for the extra working distance to avoid spooking whilst also giving almost as big an image in the frame as a macro. This shot was 420mm, with the 1.4x attached although I was also using the macro for another similar shot of a different damsel where I needed to get very close as there was no clear shot from more of a distance
