    Photography of Dorothy Bohm

Did anybody else see the programme on Sky Arts last night called "Seeing Daylight: The Photography Of Dorothy Bohm"? I found it remarkably interesting, much more so than the other photography programmes. Here was a lady, escaped form Nazi Germany, who had (has) a remarkable eye for an image. Working for many years in b/w with a Rolleiflex tlr, later turning to colour (including Polaroid), now apparently using a lightweight bridge camera, I was really struck by the way she could see a picture and "the decisive moment". To me, this was real photography by a true artist, so much more effective than today's obsession with post processing and digital manipulation. If you get Sky Arts, I'd look out for a repeat of this programme, well worth watching. I wish I'd recorded it. (Apparently you can get it on demand).
