    Puffin with Sand Eels

Another one, almost full frame as he had landed in the grass just off the path

Good to see as usually they shoot down their burrow as soon as possible due to gulls trying to steal their catch.

Lovely shot. I am guessing they won't come this close at Bempton?

I like how you kept detail in the black and white feathers.

            thanks guys

Good to see as usually they shoot down their burrow as soon as possible due to gulls trying to steal their catch.
this is one from the first visit when the gulls were behaving, but on the Friday it was a different matter and the puffins were being mobbed, sometimes by two or three gulls at once

I am guessing they won't come this close at Bempton?
you may get lucky but there are far fewer visible at Bempton and those that are mainly down the cliff face so a big crop and shooting from above does not give the best view
