Colours are not quite as strong and lush as the other pic, presumably the sun had gone at this point?

I'm also not sure that the near panoramic aspect of the picture suits the subject. From this viewpoint I would suggest that it's the height of the structure and the recession of the pier supports to the bright dot at the end that should be dominating the picture whereas in this format they are very much downplayed.

I feel a radical crop to the vertical is called for, something along the lines of this...

Another nice image. The vanishing point is perfect. Agree with Nigel about the orientation, works better.

I can't make up my mind on whether I prefer the crop or original as I like both. Had it been mine I would have saturated the sky colours a bit to give the impression of it being taken earlier but still nice.
