    DPP problem

I have just updated my DPP software to the latest version form the Canon web site on a Windows 10 PC. After several months of using the previous version issue it now hangs with the start up splash screen. I have uninstalled and reinstalled, rebooted, searched the net for a solution and spent a lot of time swearing. I really like DPP as it does everything I need and is free.

Has anyone else experienced problems like this and managed to resolve.

    Re: DPP problem

I updated mine today, also on Windows 10, no problems whatsoever and so I guess it must be something particular about your setup that it doesn't like.

      Re: DPP problem

This may be time consuming, but, when you uninstalled did you reboot, check in the apps and features that there is no left over settings or sign of DPP, then try to re-install, reboot again and see if that clears the issue.

You could try and uninstall and re-install the previous version you had, see if that will still run. The previous version should be available on the Canon website, if you don't have a copy of the installer.

        Re: DPP problem

So, as I noted earlier, I installed it and ran it yesterday with no problems. Today, I have the same issue as Sean, the start up splash screen appears, then nothing.

Interesting response from Richard given I now know its not just me. I will try kashmir's suggestion and then if no joy contact Canon customer support.
