    Class 25 Mecury

I rarely go out of my way to shoot diesel traction and when I do it has to be for something special and certainly not the resident Class 25 on the Dartmouth Steam Railway. However, after waiting for half an hour for what I was expecting to be a visiting S160 it was this or a wasted journey so pressed the shutter. It's from the road bridge just as the line enters Churston Station and will be a view so frequently taken hardly worth a look, but should you wish to, here it is:

BTW the S160 appears to have returned and replaced by 'blue' King Edward II which I've yet to see but the glorious sound it makes as it climbs out of Paignton can easily be enjoyed as it even reaches my house a couple of miles away

    Cheers,
    John
