    Dusk

My intentions when I went out this evening was to get some shots of Nightjar's. Although I could hear them, non did me the honour of a 'fly past'. This Scots Pine with its many dead branches is one they use to perch in for 'churring' away the night.
I rather like the picture --- better I thought than coming home with nothing on the card.

That’s really nice Trev. Quite unusual effect.

Thanks to those that left a comments and all those who took-a-look.
It's somewhere I go many a summer evening and sit, watch the sun go down over Dartmoor, or listen to the Nightjars and Crickets or a Tawny calling back in my woods.

Beautifully composed image, Trev, and love the subtlety of lighting which evokes a great atmosphere. For me, I'd want to take some of the noise out of the sky - is this possible whilst retaining the sharpness of the silhouette?

Thanks Alex, did try but it never seem to look right, as I said it was sort of a grab shot as I was getting up to go home feeling very frustrated at not seeing a nightjar. - I just sort of liked the picture when I downloaded it.
