    Default Around Fornalutx, Mallorca

One of our favourite places to visit is the village of Fornalutx in Mallorca. Some images of the surrounding countryside. Any comments welcomed as always.

I have loads of pictures of this little church in Biniaraix but this is the first time I have got the town of Soller as a backdrop:

The view from the garden of our hotel towards Puig de l'Ofre in the Sierra Tramuntana. Originally taken as a 3 shot HDR but I found the processing (in my 2016 version of Aurora HDR Pro) added in more noise than simply raising the shadows in the medium exposed shot.

    I just liked these.

And finally, I thought the textures on this would work well in mono:

Always happy to see pics from our neighbouring island, I like nș 1 as it looks very mediterranean

nș 2 looks very tree-heavy, we are missing out on those glorious mountains. it might be better if you removed the orange branch that covers the mountain top? Sure you could juggle this a bit

The last one, I'm sure you thought long and hard before mono -ing it, but I'd be interested to see the original colour version. Nice lines though.

Next time hop over the pond and have a glass with me !

Thanks Colin and Bo, very kind.
Bo, I know what you mean about those leaves in no 2; I was convinced the mountain tops were clear of leaves when I took it, and didn't half curse when I got home! I may see what I can do to tidy them away. Or re-take it next year...
And your wish is my command...

I do prefer the colour version of your terraces, for me you lose the Med. feel if it’s mono.

By the way ya’ll it’s pretty warm here........30 degrees in the shade, pool at 28.....

Nice set Alex...I agree with comments above.....nonetheless No2 is my pick of the set...closely followed by No1.....can the lemons be made to stand out a bit more in the first one I wonder?

Hmmm, I knew you were going to say that, Bo, and to be honest I prefer the colour too, much as I want to prefer the mono since that is what I was thinking when I took it.
Thanks Brian. I think I've done everything I can with the lemons, I focused on them to start with and I've pushed up the luminance. Making them bigger is a bit beyond my ps skills, but maybe I should have a go.

Nice set Alex, you’ve captured the real Mediterranean feel. Agree with Bo over the mono version.
