    Puffin

    I have plenty of good Puffin shots, but always got the timing wrong for the sand eels in the beak shot. Thankfully, a day on Skomer at the right time solved that.

    Only took me three years!

                  Well I went to Bempton for 2 days and expected to get loads of these, three years makes me feel a whole lot better about not getting any, Still its a future goal, to get a cracking image like yours

                      I also wanted some images of them coming into land with their wings flared, but there was no wind. They flew against the cliff, rose on the updraft and just plopped onto the land. No time whatsoever to get an image, it was just so quick. An excuse to go again next year.

                        Thought you were going to Farne ?
                        That was the plan Stan, but a couple of health issues and hospital appointments put paid to that. Skomer was a bit of a consolation. On the list for next year though.
