    Burgh Island Huer's hut

Supposedly used by lookouts for shoals of pilchards, at which point they would raise a 'hue and cry' (no, not the 80s pop duo) to alert the local fishermen.
3-shot HDR taken at sunset, processed in Aurora 2016.

A well thought out shot with some lovely tones. It's possible (but by no means certain) that brining out some detail from the shadows would make it even better but, whatever, I like it My part of the world too

    Cheers,

I like the setting sun through through the ”window”. Well spotted and processed.

Love that shot, really works well.

The Huer was generally a young boy, too young to go to sea.

Thanks John, Andrew and Colin, much appreciated. I fiddled around for ages until I was happy with the shadows - it won't be right for everyone but I felt lifting any more looked too unnatural. I was initially disappointed that only a sliver of the sun got through the line of the two windows, but actually I now quite like the resultant star burst effect. Here's a more conventional shot of it, not HDR this time.

You can see that in my first shot, the 'double' brightness is actually the sun and its reflection.

Placement of the sun is just right and two slivers of sun would have diminished the effect. Less is more...

Like the first but think it would be better with a slight shadows lift
