    Islay House Staircase

One from a recent visit to Islay, we had dinner at this venue during our stay on the island. I made the image the evening we called in to make a reservation for dinner. Luckily my camera kit was in the car and having asked permission I was able to make an image or two.
Unfortunately not having an articulated screen on the 5D3, I couldn't compose this with the skylight to be dead centre. To get make this image I had the camera laid on the top of a circular radiator that I hoped was dead centre of the staircase, it seems it wasn't

As always your thoughts comments and suggestions are welcome.

    Peter

Well I think you did well. Not being central is less of an issue as the staircase has landings meaning it's not consistently circular all the way up and introduces that nice paisley shape so the skylight being 'off' is fine by me.

    Cheers,
    John

I'm not sure dead centre would be quite so effective...
