    Budd / Buzzing relationship

The wife and I went to Hidcote over the weekend - unfortunately due to the extraordinary summer that we have been experiencing it has effected the floral display usually on offer, so I switched lenses to concentrate on a few of the smaller things - not that I got many of those neither.

I think though I caught a budding / buzzing relationship in the making here...

    The chase:

    Catching up:

Walking off into the sunset together...:

Not sure how these will load through - so can be seen on Flickr here too

All critique welcome, as Im constantly learning from you all - thank you.

Rather than start a new thread - here was another one as well:

    "Hanging on":

I did wonder whether I should square [1:1] this one and remove the right side so only the bee was showing, but I didn't want to cut the flower off on two sides - thoughts please?
(Now amended it as liked the square cut suggested below)

I tried it and rather liked the result. You've already sacrificed the upper half of the flower so I see no problem going further. A square crop concentrates the attention on the bee and balances the flower nicely with the background thus:

Nice set, Andy, love the textures on the bees and the stars of the flowers. Think Nigel's crop is the way to go, the right hand creature doesn't add anything and the square crops leaves the main focus in prime position.

Thanks Nigel / Alex - I have amended the original now to be a square cut as agree it looks better.
