    Default Illuminating the Beer Tent

After the steam fair had closed for the day, attention turned to the evening's entertainment which centred on the marquee where the bar and stage were located. Dotted around were a few fairground attractions but also a number of in-steam engines driving generators to power their show lights. The crowds mingled with their crews sharing pints and stories which made for a magical experience.

    Lots more on Flickr

    Cheers,
    John

PS I used Stan's "between the [img] tags" method as my tried and tested work around failed me

Wonderful set, John, particularly the second with its lovely pattern of steam and variation across from light to dark. Excellent.
Not taking anything away from your skill, but it is seeing shots like these that bring to the fore just how un-capable my old 7D is. I'm really going to have to start saving.

    Thanks folks

Alex: I still have and occasionally use a 7D but the woeful low light/high ISO performance was the reason I went FF and haven't once regretted the kidney I had to sell to finance it

    Cheers,
    John
