    Local Cricket

Just bought a 6D MKII. Wouldn't normally use it for sports but took it as a spare body to a local cricket match at the weekend to give a try and to get used to the camera. This is a crop from the centre of the frame.

Thanks Paul. It's been a while since I did any cricket. Before retirement I mainly did football and the occasional rugby league game. I got dragged out of retirement on Sunday by my son, he wanted to borrow some gear!

I'll be glad when the cricket season is finally over

Maybe not the nicest background but it's a well timed piece of action.

I've not really shot much cricket since my friend finally gave up - before his knees did...

Seems like the 6DII was up to the job....in your competent hands obviously...nice shot capturing the dust rising and freezing the batsman.

Cheers Nigel. It's not the prettiest of cricket grounds. The view from the other end is thecar park!

Thanks Brian. I was quite impressed with the 6DII. Not sure I'd use it for a full football or rugby match though!

Get back to those cold wet Saturdays snapping football and rugby?! I used to hate those cold Tuesday nights sat on the touchline in the wind and rain trying to keep the gear as dry as possible!
