    Shugborough Hall

We visited yesterday including the Lichfield apartments...but no photography allowed inside the apartments unfortunately and ironically considering what Patrick Lichfield did for a career... all EOS200D and 10-18mmSTM

Thanks Tom....it’s not far from me so I’ll visit again sometime in the hope that the National Trust develops it’s collection of images by Lichfield and photographic memorabilia from his time.

Very grand, Brian, and nicely done. My favourites are the inside shots, I love how you positioned the pillar outside to create a stop and point of interest between the stained glass windows, and I love the texture of the wooden floor leading out to the gardens. A couple of thoughts if I may, on the outsides, is it possible to drop the highlights any further on the first as the clouds seem quite blown to me, and could you add a sliver to the canvas on the second so the top corner isn't clipped? That said, I really like the composition of the first (pano or cropped?) and the people lying down add interest without intruding.

Thanks Alex, the first is a crop. The stained glass shot was positioned to maximise the door opening and incoming light. I did blow highlights a bit as experimenting in manual.
Thanks for your consideration and comments

Another good post that got swallowed up in all the fur 'n' feathers
I especially like that in 3 & 4 the doors are open giving a tantalising 'what's on the other side'.

                  Cheers,

Nice work Brian, that first stained glass interior image works very well.
