    Trip to Sharjah

I though I'd like to try to make a documentary project of my journey - from Manchester Airport to Hotel in Sharjah - next door but one to Dubai) - I have a job in Ajman for one day...so arrived 8pm today and will be leaving 3am Thursday (midnight UK time)...problem is the 200D battery is showing half empty (I've used live- view all day).
I'm hoping this makes a good personal record for me....and I've used the mono and split toning to make it more impressionist rather than clearly photographic....as our memories and impressions are usually far from having that clarity.
I think it will have value in jogging memories for me at least in the future. I've added the iPhone boarding pass as that's a fairly recent innovation and the current obsession with coffee will date stamp it hopefully. Also the last shot where I'm 'Mr Brian'...which happens a lot when I come here
all images are from the 200d and 35mm f2.8 macro on manual - an excellent travel camera!

any way....sorry for being self indulgent...I think I like it......and I'd be pleased if you would leave any comments.

Nice work Brian, like the processing as it adds to the story making it more interesting.

That's a nice set and idea. I like the detail shots like the e ticket and meal in with the street reportage style airport pics. The porters in the baggage hall is my fave pic. The uniformity in processing tie them together well.

An excellent set, very interesting and informative with a good style

This is the reason we take photographs, yes making a stunning work of art is always there too but having something to look back on that instantly transports you in your mind to a past experience is priceless. Sadly a lot of people (and I include my family) don't get it.

          Cheers,
          John
