    5D mk4 worth it...

In Dubai airport it’s £2k....bargain...1year international guarentee...shall I do it?

Apparently tax free into UK is £390 worth that’s all. Then 2.5% up to £630 and then standard vat rate above that.....so nearly £400 to pay in UK....near miss!

Stop analyzing just do it. I have just gone from a 5D MkIII to the 5D MkIV and now wonder why it took me so long.

I never even thought about needing to pay duty on my 5d4 when I bought it in Australia at a great price and then had the tax rebated at Sydney airport.
Honestly -never even realised it was subject to tax, just sailed through the green channel as usual.

        Love the camera!

So enough of me...........................did ya buy it????

If you're in the UK, Customs and Revenue can come after you for the VAT at any time, and you can also get a nasty fine for tax dodging on top. And they have more powers than the police!

How are they going to find out?

Buy item, remove all packaging, send receipts & any other relevant items home in the post, carry camera back just like if you'd taken it away with you in the first place. Allegedly.

I was travelling light...one rook sack for a one day visit there.....and on the way back so no means of disposing of packaging etc.

I didn't get it and had decided against an upgrade earlier at full price of £3200.....but tempted by HDEW now - £1899....but offer ends tonight.

So the only thing to do is work out what to buy with the £1300 you've just saved
