    Lower Manhattan @ Night

We had an opportunity to spend the night at a friend's apartment on E 4th Street and Avenue A. The Apartment was on the 13th floor. Yes that is correct, this building has a 13th floor. These two images were taken around 22:30. The Exposure picks up the ambient light, which the naked eye does not see.

Interesting and unfamiliar skyline of a popular city, the second one has tranquility in the sky juxtaposed with the dense city. Thanks for the location information - I had to look it up on my maps app
Is that about 4 streets down from B&H....I bet you’re tempted to have a hike over there?

Very nice couple of images, Tom, I really like the first with the added bonus of a star/planet. So at 30 sec exposures do you always travel with a tripod or was the camera just resting on a surface?

Two very nice shots. If I had to pick a favorite it would be the first with the Williamsburg bridge peeking over the top

Such an unusual angle of N.Y. C., love going there. I like the second shot best. My son lives about 3 miles from B & H but still a priority walk for me. Easy way to remember the bridges order Brooklyn, Manhattan & Williamsburg ( BMW).

B&H is pretty close to the start of the High Line, a nice way of getting alternative views of the city. My excuse, anyway. ;)
Please don't ask about my kit, it's embarrassing!

Thanks Brian, Alex, Chris, David, Nick & Bill for dropping by. Yes Brian, when I travel, a tripod is always a part of my kit.
