    Pap of Glencoe

    Hi all

Coming back from the Isle of Skye, I noticed the Pap was lit-up - so just slammed the brakes on and puled in to the lay-by at the Glencoe Boat Club. This was the furthest I'd walked all holiday to get a shot, think it was worth it. The rain was coming in from the north, but held off long enough.

    Very picture postcard...

Normally I tend to dislike these 'Velvia on acid' levels of saturation but here it just works.

Very nice indeed, love the dark cloud rolling in from the left and casting the shadow

Lovely shot with a good contrast of colours and lights/darks. I might have cropped just a bit off the bottom though, as there's a fair bit of "dead" water. Then again, it gives almost a full reflection of the yacht & mast mast so perhaps not!

A stunning scene, captured in great light and I'm more than happy with the saturation

                Cheers,

Nice shot of a wonderful location. Just a shame it’s about a 10hr drive for me.

Ahead of you Chris..... This is another taken a step or two away to allow full view of the house on the opposite bank (16x9 format)

Nice bit of light on the pap and boats, water and reflected light are always a winning combination. I like them both Lez. I can see why others have suggested the crop but I really liked the mast’s reflection in the deep blues of the original.
