Nice perspective Alun. Nice Exposure (However I would of opted for a much longer exposure, but that is my taste) Just a lovely image.

I think that's stunning and an example to us all that 'long exposure' doesn't have to be 'looooong exposure'; one second was quite enough to impart a mistiness to the water yet not so much it clouded over the detail of the rocks below. I'd give that one of my rare 'faves' were it on Flickr to be viewed and appreciated at a decent size.

      Cheers,
      John

Excellent composition and choice of shutter speed Alun. The flow of water through the image works well. Would I be correct in thinking you used a CP to achieve the length of exposure at the same time removing the glare from the water surface?

Thanks for the feedback guys. Shutter speed is just one of tbe many choices we all make to achieve our vision for a scene. I tend to keep the shutter speed between 0.7 -1.5 secs for most flowing water scenes to retain a sense of flow. This sometimes changes if there’s a particularly fast flow or if I’m after swirls and eddy trails.
Can’t remember if I had the CP on. It looks like it but the exposure suggests it wasn’t on.

Lovely image, Alun, interest everywhere you look, and a lovely sense of water movement works for me.
