That ticks so many of my boxes it is, as Brian said, quite fabulous
You've clearly planned the shot well and not only the exposure but also the composition as the reflection of the cliff in the pool and the eroded limestone is both beautiful and masterful.
Out of interest are the cliffs limestone and coloured by the low sun or a different geology altogether?

      Cheers,
      John

        Thanks a lot,Brian and John.
It’s carboniferous limestone John and the wave-cut ledges indicate where the cliff edge once stood. In the right light the cliffs glow a saffron hue that’ll play havoc with your red channel if you’re not careful. I had to move around a fair bit to find a reflection to break up the foreground.

Excellent image. Looks like a location that would be worth visiting again and again. Winter could be interesting.

It’s the location I’ve photographed most over many years. It is always changing and seldom disappoints.
