    White Storks

    These birds partner for life and always return to the same nest year after year. Many will return to Africa for the winter but some will stay throughout the year, so we were hoping for some shots last week in the Algarve. The first time we spotted some was on a day when we were concentrating on the architecture so only had the short lenses with us. As our accomodation was only 30 km we went back to get the long lenses and by the time we returned........not a sign of them !!!. However, an early start the following day was rewarded with some excellent sightings and shots at full frame just with our 300 f4

    This is one of two pairs we found on adjacent nests
