These photographers are always getting in the way...

I knew the shot I wanted and where to take it but when I arrived someone had got there first... so I took the shot anyway:

5D3_9351_AuroraHDR2019-edit by John Leah, on Flickr

Six images combined in Aurora HDR 2019. I've recently upgraded from 2018 and am finding it a big improvement with far better presets (but still an awful lot of options to get my head around).

As always far better on Flickr where there are a few more sunbursts from the same time.

    Cheers,
    John

Shame about the photographer as it looks like your point of view would be far better than where he is standing

Lovely shot John pity about the other person being in the frame though.

        Thanks Stan and Bill.

You'll realise that his position was even worse when I tell you that in his foreground but hidden from my viewpoint was a family sat on a blanket having a picnic.

        Cheers,
        John

Smashing shot, had the same thing happen while down in Bude this week. Set up for high tide on the breakwater & just as the breaking waves were at their best, a couple of Nikon users stood right in front of me.

              Thanks folks

              Nigel: zapped as requested:

              5D3_9351_AuroraHDR2019-edit_0-Edit.jpg

Quickly done using a combination of PS's Content Aware Fill tool and LR's Spot Removal ('cos PS's Stamp tool' never seems to work for me). Interesting exercise in zapping and nice to see the image as I'd envisaged it but doesn't really stand up to too much scrutiny

              Cheers,
              John

Nice work John, but I do like the Photographer in the image as it added a story to the image. Well done
