              we got there just as they opened and by the time we had walked down to the lake there were already a row of photographers with tripods etc shooting this scene. Dees version, a slightly wider view has already been printed on pearl paper in preparation for a couple of craft fairs next month and it looks really good

                Nice one Stan. I was there yesterday and there were 21 tripods set up by 9.45. All waiting for what look like a group of kids that were on the grass in front of the Panthenon to move out of frame - some when they got home had some work to do in Photoshop
                I grabbed a couple of shots but the place was running wild with kids - it was half-term.

                  Even without half term the place is always going to be a magnet for photographers at this time of the year. We were lucky that apart from the photographers lining up there were few who had yet managed to walk round the lake so no cloning needed on this one but by 10am and the rest of the day, waiting and / or some cloning was required on the later shots
